TraceParts announces the availability of its 3DX Certified Models app for users of Onshape CAD software through the Onshape App Store “Private Beta” program.
This new fully integrated app is the first to allow all Onshape users instant access to hundreds of millions of free standard and supplier certified 3D models from directly inside Onshape. Onshape users interested in the beta program are invited to participate at this link: www.onshape.com/app-store-beta. Anyone wanting to experience the Onshape full-cloud CAD system is welcome to create a free Onshape account here.
Once the 3DX Certified Models app is added, users can find products from over 400 leading suppliers by graphically navigating to specific products, using tag based product search, or search across multiple certified catalogs. Once parts are found and selected, the user is provided with a real-time 3D product preview, a summary of the Bill of Materials (BOM) attributes, and with a single pick, the product model is inserted directly into their Onshape document.
