NAFEMS, the International Association for the Engineering Modeling, Analysis & Simulation Community, and CIMdata have announced plans to co-host two events dedicated to “Driving Industry to Model-Based Systems Engineering” and “Engineering Analysis & Simulation in the Automotive Industry” on April 27th and 28th, 2016 respectively, in Troy, MI. These events will focus on delivering information and insights on critical topic areas in a manner that maximizes the “take-away” value for attendees.
"For several years, NAFEMS and CIMdata have worked closely together to provide mutual assistance and support for establishing best practices in several areas of engineering analysis, systems modeling and simulation,”said Matthew Ladzinski, Vice-President - Americas, NAFEMS. “It is through our collaborative efforts with CIMdata on this workshop and related activities, combined with our existing partnership with the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) to form a joint cross-organizational working group on systems modeling and simulation, that we are able to deliver guidance to individuals and companies interested in integrating analysis and simulation within a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment."
The aim for the CIMdata workshop is to provide attendees with independent experiences from industrial companies and a collaborative networking environment where ideas, trends, experiences, and relationships critical to the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) industry germinate and take root.
The aim for the NAFEMS seminar is to have attendees from the major automotive manufacturers and suppliers gather in a pre-competitive manner to exchange ideas, identify best practices, and drive the near-future direction of technology. The event agenda and concept is championed by several leading figures in the automotive industry and will provide the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and practices relating to engineering analysis simulation, which attendees can later share and apply within their own organizations.
Both events will take place at the MEC in Troy, MI. Anyone who would like attend both will receive a 10% discount upon registration. Additional information can be found by visiting http://nafems.org/events/nafems/2016/automotive-standards-practices/
