Modelon, the premier provider of Modelica Tools and Libraries for Model Based Systems Design, is pleased to announce that intrinSIM has signed a definitive agreement to add Modelica and Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) toolkits to its portfolio of Embeddable Technologies for Engineering Applications and further add the Modelica Libraries to its distribution portfolio. intrinSIM is a premier source of embeddable and redistributable technologies for engineering applications and represents a broad portfolio of leading edge tools suitable for commercial or in-house engineering software applications through a unique technology broker model. intrinSIM will partner with Modelon on business development and licensing of the Modelon Toolkits & Modelon Libraries on a worldwide basis.
“Model-Based Systems Design and Simulation is a key technology as products become more and more complex”, says Joe Walsh, founder of intrinSIM. “We are very happy to work with Modelon in bringing their industry standard Modelica Libraries and Toolkits to a broader market through distribution by other software vendors.”
“The cooperation with intrinSIM will allow us to assist more software vendors to make the next step to Model-Based Systems Design”, adds Magnus Gäfvert, CEO of Modelon. “Continually growing product and systems complexity will dramatically increase the demand for Modelica and FMI-based technologies for modeling and simulation. Our relationship with intrinSIM helps us meet this increasing demand through expanding our indirect channels.”
The Modelica Toolkits from Modelon form the basis of building a state-of-the art model-based systems simulation solution and will be available on an OEM license basis including the Optimica Compiler, Optimica Testing Toolkit and FMI Toolkits.
The industry standard Modelica Libraries for a wide range of applications in the automotive, aerospace, energy and industrial equipment industries will be available on a redistribution basis and include the following:
- Electric Power Library
- Engine Dynamics Library
- Environmental Control Library
- Fuel Cell Library
- Fuel Systems Library
- Heat Exchanger Library
- Hydraulics Library
- Hydro Power Library
- Liquid Cooling Library
