Specialist Design and Manufacturer Toye Chooses Infor CloudSuite Industrial to Drive Growth in New Markets

Infor, a leading provider of business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced that Toye, Kenning & Spencer, the UK's leading specialist in state insignia, jewelry, accessories, apparel, and uniform manufacturing since 1685, has selected Infor CloudSuite™ Industrial. The cloud-based ERP application will replace a legacy system that is no longer fit for the purpose. Infor CloudSuite Industrial will be deployed across two manufacturing sites in the UK with a total of 55 users by Infor partner Inforlogic.

Toye, Kenning & Spencer (toye.com) is a specialist designer and manufacturer fusing the latest technology with traditional production techniques such as weaving, gold and silversmithing, enameling and embroidery all in the UK. With production runs varying from one-off, high end bespoke jewelry and insignia to large contract work for government, military and fashion markets, one of the key benefits Infor CloudSuite Industrial will deliver to Toye, Kenning & Spencer is eliminating email-based workflows and fragmented order records. This will not only help the company prepare for increased international orders but also lay the foundations for new routes to market via ecommerce.

Following a thorough review of the manufacturing cloud ERP market, Infor CloudSuite Industrial was selected because of the strong manufacturing functionality developed over the past twenty five years within the application along with the integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities and embedded workflow functionality in CloudSuite Industrial.

With a small IT team, Toye made the decision to take their ERP capabilities into the cloud in order to ensure that the application is always running on the latest version and allow Toye to decommission aging hardware and future-proof themselves in anticipation of further growth.

"Our product portfolio spans everything from state honors manufactured to the Order of the Central Chancery of the Orders of Knighthood to honors caps for various sporting organizations, costumes for movies such as Suffragette, uniform for militaries and large corporations, chains of office and contemporary cufflinks, neck ties, hats, jewelry and accessories for fashion brands and various other organizations," said Freddie Toye, Toye, Kenning & Spencer. "But despite this array, we still need a consistent backbone to our operations that is resilient and will drive efficiencies. This is what Infor and CloudSuite Industrial will deliver."

"Manufacturers looking to exploit the opportunities of cloud ERP face a lot of choices in the market," said Phil Lewis, vice-president, solution consulting, Europe, Infor. "While most of these options offer flexible deployment, one of the key factors in making a decision is the industry pedigree of the software. It is this expertise at the micro-vertical level that drives a lot of interest in Infor CloudSuite Industrial. Toye is a great example of this desire for focused software, delivered quickly via the cloud."

"Toye, Kenning & Spencer was insistent from the moment we first spoke to them that a cloud solution was the only way forward. This is something we were able to offer with the flexible deployment options available with Infor CloudSuite Industrial," said Chris Stock, Managing Director, Inforlogic. "Where the solution really excelled was the breadth of functionality available for the predictable subscription cost. Moving from a capital expense to operating expense was key for Toye, Kenning & Spencer once we took the time to understand their business and demonstrated the solution to them."
