BackOffice Associates Acquires Robust Data Archiving Capabilities for Enterprise Systems Running SAP Software

BackOffice Associates today announced it has acquired data archiving intellectual property focused on SAP® software from Proceed Engineering Solutions. This acquisition further strengthens BackOffice’s dspArchive application with world-class functionality to analyze, simulate and execute complex and complete archiving activities for the SAP ERP application and SAP S/4HANA, SAP’s next-generation business suite for a digital world.

“Data archiving is a key aspect of best-practice enterprise data stewardship and serves as a proven accelerator for both data migration and quality initiatives,” said David Booth, chairman and CEO, BackOffice Associates. “With more and more global enterprises adopting SAP data solutions, this acquisition enhances our specialization around the unique business processes of SAP archiving using standard SAP tools.”

dspArchive delivers system decommissioning activities, managing data partitioning as a part of divestitures, optimizing and right-sizing SAP S/4HANA deployments, continuously archiving data such as completed transactions, and refreshing hardware projects for proper scale.

dspArchive enables organizations to improve the overall value of business systems by utilizing less hardware, reducing infrastructure requirements and improving overall system performance with simplified database administration and faster backup times. It also allows for faster upgrades with higher-quality data, resulting in less time needed for analysis and movement. The solution reduces data vulnerability for organizations by fostering improved compliance and facilitating prompt and accurate responses to audit and e-discovery requests.

Additional features of dspArchive include:

  • End-to-end data archival management of activities, resources and processes
  • Metrics-driven dashboards for streamlined user experience
  • Orchestration from design through execution, including full systems analysis and planning
  • Advanced project management with full metrics-driven visibility and documentation
  • Valuable reuse of migration designs and assets
  • Integration with key archival repositories, such as OpenText, commonly used in the SAP ecosystem
