BIMobject Partners with ARCOM

Today, BIMobject, Inc., (subsidiary of BIMobject AB), announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement to provide BIM content to ARCOM for use with its new specification cloud platform, ARCOM One. The contract was signed as an open ended agreement.

ARCOM, recognized as specification experts in the design and construction industry, is the leading North American source for master guide and manufacturer product specifications. Eighty percent of the top architectural and engineering firms in the United States use MasterSpec, a product of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), which is regarded as the industry's "go-to" resource for professionally written specifications.

With BIMobject's newly added BIM content, ARCOM One users will have immediate and convenient access to the world's largest library of high-quality 3D BIM objects from leading global and U.S.-based building product manufacturers hosted on the BIMobject Cloud platform.

The overarching value to this partnership is the strength that it will bring for both companies as a unique and unmatched source of both BIM objects and Specifications throughout North America. The tight integration of the respective platforms will make it easier for professional BIM users and manufacturers to publish their BIM content connected in two cloud based resources.

"This is a great day for the commercial building and construction industry," said Doug Bevill, President of BIMobject, Inc. "Our partnership with ARCOM moves members of our industry closer to a more digital and integrated environment that creates substantial value for all parties. In my 30+ years as a building product executive, there has never been a digital specification platform of this caliber offered anywhere in the world, and I am humbled that ARCOM has chosen BIMobject as the exclusive developer, host and distributor of BIM content."

"MasterSpec provides specifiers time-saving access to reliable, unbiased product information to help them write high-quality specifications. It is only logical that we include high-quality 3D objects for our clients who prefer to work with BIM software technology, and BIMobject is the preeminent global provider of such content," said Christopher Bushnell, ARCOM President and CEO. "Our alliance with BIMobject further expands the tools we provide to ARCOM clients, as well as adding tremendous value to BIM users."
