Customers Rapidly Adopting Oracle’s New Security Cloud Services

Oracle announced that Oracle’s Identity-based, Security Operations Center (SOC) cloud services portfolio is experiencing exceptional growth, well surpassing 1 million users since its launch just six months ago. Oracle’s Identity SOC framework provides next-generation, integrated and intelligent security monitoring, threat detection, analytics and remediation across heterogeneous, hybrid clouds—powered by comprehensive identity context and enforcement. Edgile, Levi Strauss & Company, Marlette Funding, New Mexico Human Services Department, Nomis Solutions, Ooyala, Pragmatyxs and UBI Banca are among the many organizations around the world who have chosen Oracle’s comprehensive security cloud services portfolio to address complex security and management challenges across their hybrid IT environments.

“As organizations continue their journey to the cloud, they are looking for an integrated, intelligent and comprehensive security platform that can manage, better secure and automate processes across hybrid IT environments,” said Rohit Gupta, group vice president, Cloud Security products at Oracle. “Customers agree that Oracle’s Identity SOC approach offers a critical controls framework to help enhance their security posture for applications and data—both in the cloud and the datacenter.”

“At Levi’s, my primary job is to protect the company brands and reduce our overall risk. From an IT perspective we have moved quickly into the cloud and have upgraded our SOC intelligence capability as a result. Levi’s invested in Oracle CASB Cloud Service to help give us visibility and better protection for our IaaS investments,” said Steve Zalewski, Chief Security Architect, Levi Strauss & Company.

“Ooyala’s cloud first posture meant that our security coverage just got broader, but I can’t afford to throw more bodies at the problem,” said Bill Billings, Chief Information Security Officer, Ooyala, a subsidiary of Telstra. “We needed a modern approach to security and to take advantage of new automation tools to allow me to ‘trust but verify’ what my vendors, service providers, and employees were doing in our cloud environment. With Oracle CASB Cloud Service, we now monitor user behavior across cloud properties as well as automatically detect configuration drift. This gives us consistent, detailed and clear visibility into user and application activity.”

“To support our company business toward multichannel, physical and digital transformation requires the best in class security levels,” said Fabio Gianotti, Chief Security Officer, UBI Banca. “We are enabling a hybrid SOC strategy based on cloud technologies and this approach must have innovative security solutions. We have invested in Oracle Security Cloud Services to enhance our ability to detect and respond not only to potential threats but also data leakage and to better meet our regulatory requirements.”

Context-Aware, Comprehensive SOC Solution Uses Machine Learning to Reduce Threats

The world’s first Identity SOC security framework, Oracle’s portfolio provides consistent security controls across cloud and on-premises environments that help organizations better detect and respond to advanced threats and more effectively predict paths of escalation. Oracle’s Identity SOC portfolio also unifies threat, user and operational data from traditionally separate sources and uses machine learning to empower these critical operation centers with an identity-centric, context-aware intelligence solution. This extensive portfolio of security features makes Oracle’s Identity SOC ideal for companies in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, banking and finance, utilities, technology, retail, government and healthcare.
