Webinar will highlight initial summary results of CIMdata’s Model-Based Systems Engineering survey conducted with ANSYS
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, 9 October 2014—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm announces that John MacKrell, Vice President, will address the business opportunities and implementation challenges facing engineering teams as they implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) technology and processes, in an upcoming webinar hosted by ANSYS.
“As electromechanical systems become more and more software intensive, the need for a systems level definition becomes necessary to assure proper conformity to requirements,” says MacKrell. “CIMdata has been conducting substantial research on systems engineering practices in general, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in particular. In this webinar, we will discuss how the findings from that research are informing the growth in MBSE processes and solutions.” MacKrell has over 40 years of experience in the application of computer-based solutions to engineering and manufacturing, with more than 20 years at CIMdata. He has held senior positions in product management, marketing, research and development, and consulting.
MacKrell will report on industry best practices and lessons learned based on CIMdata’s decades of experience and a recent MBSE survey conducted with ANSYS. The initial summary results of the survey will be presented. Areas where MBSE processes and tools are being effectively used today, as well as areas for improvement that promise the greatest future business impact will be highlighted. The webinar is intended to help senior engineering managers to understand how to formulate an assessment of the baseline maturity of their own organizations with respect to implementing MBSE capabilities.
The webinar will be presented on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. EST and Thursday, November 13, at 4:00 p.m. EST. To learn more and to register, visit: http://www.ansys.com/Campaigns/Model-Based+Systems+Engineering
