Workshop will focus on sharing strategies for gaining and keeping support for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives.
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, 16 August 2016—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm, announces that it will host a workshop that will share strategies for communicating the importance and value of an enterprise-based PLM framework. This one-day workshop will take place on November 2 at the Inn at St. John’s, Plymouth, Michigan and will be held in conjunction with PLM Road Map for the Global Automotive Industry, which takes place the next day, at the same location.
The workshop, “The Politics of Enterprise Software: Getting and Keeping Support for a Sustainable PLM Initiative,” will offer participants access to proven strategies that can be used to rationalize PLM as a critical enterprise-wide business initiative. In addition, industry experts will be on hand to present on the issues they experienced in their own PLM journey. Ways to address barriers will also be shared.
According to workshop lead, Mr. Tom Gill, CIMdata’s Practice Manager for PLM Enterprise Value & Integration, "Getting and keeping executive support for a PLM program is perhaps the most difficult activity a PLM team can face. Each organization is different and CIMdata has developed best practices that help PLM teams obtain and maintain the support necessary. We are excited to share this knowledge and look forward to collaborating with workshop participants to develop solutions for their issues."
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- Ways to make your executives say YES to your PLM initiative.
- The key activities and deliverables that keep a PLM initiative moving forward.
- Ways to effectively describe and present a PLM program to a variety of stakeholders.
- How Return on Investment can be used to justify a PLM program.
- What to do when a PLM program “goes off the rails.”
- Proven remedies to issues experienced by other companies implementing PLM.
