Oracle Raises the Curtain on Oracle® OpenWorld 2009

Today, Oracle welcomes more than 40,000 attendees to Oracle® OpenWorld 2009, the company’s global business and technology conference that runs from Sunday, October 11 through Thursday, October 15 at Moscone Center in San Francisco.

Relying on the latest Web 2.0 capabilities, attendees will be able to share information and ideas during and after Oracle OpenWorld. Through a broad range of Web 2.0 tools, conference-goers can increase collaboration by:

Watching live programming on Oracle OpenWorld Live;

Utilizing the Oracle OpenWorld group on Oracle Mix, Oracle’s interactive community for exchanging ideas, providing feedback and building a community with Oracle employees, customers and partners;

Becoming a part of the Oracle OpenWorld community on Facebook;

Joining the Oracle OpenWorld conversation on Twitter;

Gaining access to the latest Oracle videos on YouTube;

Keeping up with the Oracle OpenWorld Blog;

Connecting with Oracle on LinkedIn; and

Continuing to access the session with Oracle OpenWorld On Demand.

This year, attendees will also have access to:

More than 1,900 educational sessions;

400 partner exhibits from the world’s technology leaders;

300-plus live Oracle product demos in the Oracle DEMOgrounds;

200-plus industry sessions; and

Hands-on labs and multiple networking events.

Attendees will also have access to a wide range of specialized industry programming including 13 industry tracks, covering communications and media; consumer goods; education and research; financial services; health sciences; high technology; insurance; manufacturing; oil and gas; public sector; retail; services industries; and utilities.

Keynote addresses will feature industry leaders from Oracle, Sun, HP, Dell and Infosys.

Oracle OpenWorld will give partners an opportunity to share knowledge, showcase specialized solutions, increase customer and prospect visibility, and drive business growth.

Oracle will continue to offer the popular Oracle Develop program and this year has added the Primavera Program which focuses on Oracle’s Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management.

This year, Oracle will incorporate its “rethink, reduce, reuse and recycle” philosophy into event operations and programming throughout the conference will focus on the environment and the eco-enterprise.
