Siemens PLM Software Announces Release of Text Books on NX and Solid Edge Software in Russian
Siemens PLM Software and DMK Publishing House announced the release of two books on Siemens PLM Software’s NX™ and Solid Edge® software applications. NX for Engineering Designer and Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology are the first books in Russian to cover synchronous technology applications and unique approaches to solving design problems.
Both books provide an in depth review of synchronous technology – the industry’s first history-free, feature-based modeling capability – and are intended for engineering designers with some modeling experience that are interested in expanding skill sets. The books also provide information that will help advanced users design faster and create drawings more efficiently.
The NX for Engineering Designer book focuses on the use of the NX digital product development application. The book was developed by a group of authors including several experts with extensive experience in the use and implementation of NX at multiple engineering companies in Russia. It summarizes the experience of teaching NX in Russian universities and leading industrial enterprises.
The NX for Engineering Designer book describes part, surface and assembly modeling, drawings creation, kinematics modeling and much more. There is also extensive coverage of the integration between NX and Teamcenter® software, Siemens PLM Software’s digital lifecycle management solution. This collaboration is important because the transition to 3D modeling is supported by the joint implementation of a CAD system along with a product data management (PDM) solution like Teamcenter.
NX is used by a wide variety of domestic companies in several industries including aerospace, power engineering, automotive and others. NХ solves engineering and conceptual product design problems, providing precise definitions of both individual parts and large assemblies consisting of hundreds or thousands of components. NX also provides tools for engineering analysis, product simulation, NC programming and NC machine tools control.
The Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology book focuses on Solid Edge, a leading 3D mechanical design software tool. Solid Edge is the core CAD component of the Velocity Series™ portfolio from Siemens PLM Software and with part and assembly modeling, drafting, transparent data management, and built-in finite element analysis, eases the growing complexity of product design.
The Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology book includes nine chapters covering specific issues of design with synchronous technology: parts modeling, sketching with synchronous technology, synchronous assemblies, Live Rules, relationships, etc. The chapters contain theoretical description of basic commands and 3D geometry editing techniques as well as practical exercises for mastering Solid Edge with synchronous technology.
Both books include CDs containing tutorials on how to use NX and Solid Edge.
The books are available immediately and can be ordered online at http://www.alians-kniga.ru or at the ALIANS-KNIGA Publishing and Trading Holding, mailing address: Russia 123242 Moscow P.O.
