IMAGINiT Technologies Canada Selected to Sell Autodesk Plant Solutions Software

RAND Worldwide® announced that its IMAGINiT Technologies division in Canada has been chosen by Autodesk as one of the select value added resellers to sell the AutoCAD P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) (link: http://www.rand.com/imaginit/pid-pr) software solution.

With this latest authorization, IMAGINiT has become the sole authorized channel for the AutoCAD P&ID product within Canada and is positioned to make available an end-to-end set of solutions for its Plant Design clients.

AutoCAD P&ID software allows designers and engineers to create, modify, and manage piping and instrumentation diagrams with ease. Common tasks are streamlined and automated to boost productivity, while component and line information is easily accessed by designers as they work.

“We are extremely excited to add AutoCAD P&ID to our suite of solutions for our Plant Design customers,” says Joe Oswald, vice president, IMAGINiT Canada. “As we continue to ensure that IMAGINiT provides the Canadian market with the latest technologies, the plant solutions from Autodesk are a very important component of our solution.”

AutoCAD P&ID is built on the most current version of AutoCAD software and is specifically architected to slash project costs and enable efficiencies for designers and project managers in the in the Plant Design space.

Murphy, director of business development, Plant Solutions, Americas at Autodesk. “Plant is one of the few markets in today’s world that cannot shut down until times are better. Maintenance must be done, de-bottlenecking is important to increase profitability and in addition, visualization and clash detection tools like Navisworks offer the ability to remove costs from a project before costly errors and re-work are required in the field.”
