Hearing about and discussing Siemens’ announcements, technologies, and solutions with customer attendees, event sponsors, and Siemens’ leadership was highly informative as Siemens continues to push the boundaries of multi-disciplinary product lifecycle management, as well as incorporating industrial artificial intelligence (AI) throughout their solution suite.

Siemens and IFS announced a strategic partnership to help manufacturers connect engineering intelligence with operational reality. Recently, CIMdata had the opportunity to attend PTC’s 2026 PTC NEXT event in Chicago, held 9-10 June 2026. The event described a significant technological inflection point being faced by organizations across all industries due to the rapid expansion and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). The event focused on introducing and describing PTC’s “intelligent product lifecycle” (IPL) strategy and how its solutions can be used to strengthen an enterprise product data foundation in support of AI and innovation. The event was kicked off by Mr. Neil Barua, PTC’s President and CEO, who emphasized the urgency of change during this great transformational period and how to best deal with the challenges associated with it.

The 2026 Siemens PLM Components Innovation Conference held in Cambridge, England in late April 2026, clearly demonstrated that the foundational tools of engineering software are adapting to meet the increased capabilities of modern computational hardware and artificial intelligence. Siemens is aggressively updating it Parasolid and D-Cubed components to support modern developer workflows with new Python bindings and WebAssembly deployment.

Aras ACE 2026 highlighted Aras's evolution of PLM through adaptive architecture and agentic AI. By focusing on dependency graphs, Aras is positioning its platform not just to store data but to predict the impacts of complex changes.
