Nemetschek AG has further strengthened its position in the international Building Information Modeling (BIM) market, a market that is expected to grow by 17 percent on average in the years to come. The software provider has been able to make more intensive headway into the promising BIM 5D market with two investments. In this market, the dimensions of cost (4D) and time (5D) have been added to digital 3D planning models to provide complex large-scale projects in particular with considerable advantages in terms of costs and efficiency. These advantages can amount to up to 25 percent of building costs. Earlier in July, Delcam China hosted its first seminar in the Chinese market on applications of the PartMaker CAM system in the healthcare industry.  The seminar was held in Changzhou in Jiangsu province, one of China’s main centres for the manufacture of medical equipment.  The event was organised in conjunction with Suzhou Unigenius Software and Starrag Group (Shanghai) and attracted more than forty delegates from thirty companies, including representatives of the leading medical equipment manufacturers and machine tool suppliers from the East China region. Dassault Systèmes today announced the acquisition of SIMPACK, the technology leader in multi-body simulation technologies and solutions. With the acquisition of SIMPACK, based near Munich, Germany, Dassault Systèmes is expanding its SIMULIA realistic multiphysics simulation technology portfolio to include multi-body mechatronic systems, from virtual concept validation to the real-time experience.
