The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) has launched DIGIMAT, a secure, cloud-based platform designed to modernise how materiel data is collected, validated, and managed across Norway’s defence supply chain. Powered by Eurostep’s ShareAspace, the platform went live in May and marks a major milestone in NDMA’s long-term digital transformation of defence logistics. At its core, DIGIMAT provides a single, secure environment for collaboration between NDMA and its suppliers. Built on ShareAspace, Eurostep’s proven platform for standards-based data sharing, it enables NDMA to maintain full control of critical information while ensuring it is accessible to the right stakeholders when needed. NDMA is responsible for procuring, managing, and disposing of military equipment for Norway’s armed forces, overseeing more than 200 procurement projects and 450 active contracts. With defence spending rising across Europe and the number of NDMA projects increasing rapidly, the agency faces growing demands for accurate, consistent, and timely materiel data from suppliers. MachineWorks Ltd is pleased to support Hexagon’s latest NCSIMUL release, which introduces the new patent-pending Selective Simulation capability powered by MachineWorks GPU technology The latest NCSIMUL release now includes the new patent-pending GPU-based Selective Simulation, which gives programmers faster visibility of the in-process stock conditions during lengthy and complex machining operations. GPU-accelerated Rest Stock Previews allow teams to shift left, catching potential errors in critical program stages much earlier in the verification cycle, whilst preserving the full, highly accurate, simulation process for final sign-off.  MachineWorks GPU exploits the massively parallel nature of modern GPUs to compute in-process stock geometry dramatically faster than can be achieved on a similar CPU. Speedups are typically more than an order of magnitude, with stock computations for individual machining cycles measured in seconds. Hexagon’s Selective Simulation workflow is underpinned by NCIMUL’s new Rest Stock Previews, which provide users a fast way to quickly navigate, visualize and understand long and complex machining programs. Crucially,

Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced support for GlobalFoundries’ (GF) silicon photonics process technology in its Advanced Design System (ADS) Photonic Designer, expanding its foundry ecosystem for photonic integrated circuit (PIC) development. Designers can move from PIC design to full electro-optical-electrical (EOE) system simulation within a single environment, validating how photonic circuits perform at the optical link level before tapeout. As silicon photonics moves into volume production across data centers, AI infrastructure, and optical communications, designing a photonic integrated circuit is only part of the challenge. Engineers need to confirm its performance within an EOE system. Traditional workflows separate these steps, forcing teams to move between PIC design tools and system simulation platforms. This introduces risk and delays validation until late in the development cycle. Keysight’s PDK for ADS Photonic Designer addresses this by connecting PIC design with system level EOE simulation. Engineers can now design photonic circuits on GF’s platform, then validate full optical link

Keysight Technologies, Inc. introduced an Electrical-Optical-Electrical (EOE) simulation solution in ADS 2026. Engineers can now simulate electrical-to-optical-to-electrical signal chains within a single design environment. This capability is increasingly important as AI infrastructure and high-performance computing drive demand for faster optical links. This type of analysis is essential for setting architecture and evaluating performance. By 2029, 87% of hyperscale optical transceivers will operate at 800Gbps or higher, with 1.6Tbps and 3.2Tbps on the horizon. With optical links connecting CPUs, GPUs, and high-speed SerDes interfaces, teams need to model interactions across electrical and optical domains. Legacy simulation workflows handle these separately, requiring the results from different tools to be manually stitched together, potentially missing cross-domain effects that impact system performance. The breakthrough EOE capability in ADS 2026 enables engineers to simulate the complete signal path, from transmitters through optical and photonic circuits to electrical receivers, in a unified workflow. The solution leverages Keysight's High Speed Digital

DXC Technology, a leading enterprise technology and innovation partner, announced If Skadeförsäkring AB, the largest property and casualty insurer in the Nordics, has partnered with DXC to leverage DXC OASIS and to simplify, modernize and unify its technology estate following its acquisition of Topdanmark, a leading Danish insurer. As insurers integrate acquisitions and scale across markets, technology environments become more fragmented and complex, creating overlapping systems, operational silos and increasing infrastructure complexity that make it harder to deliver resilience, efficiency and consistent operations at scale. The result can be higher costs, slower integration and reduced visibility across critical systems, impacting both operational agility and customer experience. Closing that gap requires a technology partner capable of operating mission-critical systems at scale while consolidating and simplifying the technology estate that underpins day-to-day operations. Building a More Unified and Resilient Technology Foundation To achieve its modernization agenda, If chose DXC to operate its mission-critical technology estate,

PDF The Frontier of B-Rep, Convergent, Implicit modeling, and more Takeaways The 2026 Siemens PLM Components conference signaled a distinct industry shift focused heavily on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and expanding geometry representation paradigms. The central themes revolved around the collision and convergence of traditional boundary representation (B-rep) with facet geometry and implicit modeling. While implicit modeling leverages modern GPU parallel processing efficiently, converting it back to traditional B-rep for manufacturing creates a major interoperability challenge. To solve this, Siemens is expanding Parasolid’s Convergent Modeling framework to natively support and mix implicit geometry seamlessly without forcing full format conversions. Siemens is aggressively updating its battle-tested Parasolid and D-Cubed components to support modern developer workflows with new Python bindings and forthcoming WebAssembly deployment. Additionally, Parasolid is expanding its scope to support “mixed-scale” large assemblies, such as modeling a microchip within the context of an entire city. The AI Industry panel noted that implementing AI requires overcoming hurdles

Siemens has announced new 3D electrical design capabilities within its industry leading Capital™ software to unify wiring design and physical harness routing in a single, model-based workflow that spans the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of industry software. The new capabilities enable electrical and mechanical engineers to work concurrently in a shared 3D context, improving collaboration while reducing late-stage design changes. As electrical systems and software content continue to increase in complexity, disconnected ECAD and MCAD workflows can lead to delays, errors and costly rework. Siemens addresses these challenges by integrating Capital within Designcenter™ software for advanced product engineering and Teamcenter® software for product lifecycle management (PLM), enabling engineers to design, validate and manage electrical systems directly within the mechanical design environment. “For the first time, customers can pair best-in-class electrical system design, including AI-driven harness development, with 3D mechanical design in a unified, model-based workflow without compromise,” said Frances Evans, senior vice president,
