Capgemini announced that the Swedish Armed Forces has signed a new multi-year framework agreement with Capgemini as one of three suppliers for SAP consulting services. Bechtle AG has acquired s.i.g. System Informations Gesellschaft mbH headquartered in Neu-Ulm and with satellite offices in Erfurt and Jena. Founded in 1997, the IT system house and its 50 employees achieved revenues of 25.4 million euros in the last fiscal year. Well-established in the region, the acquisition expands Bechtle’s market position in the economic area around Ulm in the south of Germany, bolstering its portfolio with the addition of industrial information technology, i.e. custom IT infrastructure and network solutions for the manufacturing industry. The purchase also marks the continuation of Bechtle’s growth strategy in the administrative region of Swabia.
