C.R.I. Pumps today announced that they have chosen to deploy Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its Industrial Equipment industry solution experiences. This will facilitate quicker response to customer requirements and standardisation of its entire design process. C.R.I. Pumps selected ENOVIA over key competition and it will be implemented across domestic pumps to begin with and later be rolled across C.R.I. Pumps’ entire product line. Agilent Technologies Inc. reported orders of $1.91 billion, up 4 percent over one year ago, for the fourth fiscal quarter ended Oct. 31, 2014, and revenues of $1.81 billion, up 5 percent compared with one year ago. Fourth-quarter GAAP net income was $16 million, or $0.05 per share. Last year's fourth-quarter GAAP net income was $211 million, or $0.63 per share. These results include Keysight Technologies, formerly Agilent's electronic measurement business. Agilent completed the spinoff of Keysight on Nov. 1 by distributing Keysight common stock to Agilent shareholders. Keysight financial results will be reported by Keysight as a separate, publicly traded company. During the fourth quarter, Agilent had pre-separation costs of $70 million, intangible amortization of $47 million, a net loss on extinguishment of debt of $68 million, mostly non-cash charges of $68 million related to exiting the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance business, and a tax expense of $13 million. PTC® today announced that researchers at the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Medicine, pioneers in the development of artificial hearts, are using PTC Creo® design software for the development of a Total Artificial Heart. The renowned institution has been involved in artificial heart research since 1959, and has been performing successful experimentation with animals since 1970. The advanced 3D modelling capabilities provided by PTC Creo are a key component in the research team’s goal to develop a fully implantable Total Artificial Heart by 2016. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that heart failure affects more than 20 million people worldwide with an additional two million new cases diagnosed annually.
