Business Opportunities and Overcoming Implementation Challenges ANN ARBOR, Michigan, 25 November 2014—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm announces a new whitepaper covering recent research on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). CIMdata and ANSYS, Inc., conducted an on-line, by invitation survey of senior level people in industrial companies on the use of MBSE in their organizations. Significant findings are reported in the whitepaper. Some highlights are: while MBSE tools and well defined processes are important, adoption by people is critical to success; that MBSE users are receiving real value as indicated by the survey responses; and (as shown in the chart) that large, small, and A&D companies deploy MBSE by project. Many additional findings are recounted in the whitepaper supported by charts of germane data. This paper is freely available from CIMdata’s Publications web page.
