ShareAspace

Sharing is everywhere today, including most social media platforms. ShareAspace builds on the sharing notion with data from multiple sources consolidated into one repository. You stay in control over what information is shared, with whom, and when. Only share the data you intend to share or publish data packages.

ShareAspace is a hub that extends rather than replaces existing systems such as PDM, PLM, ERP, or MRO. Organizations continue to use what is already working and benefit from previous investments. ShareAspace creates a flexible product data-sharing platform that facilitates change and business agility by making it easy to add and remove systems and partners.

ShareAspace data and file stores are designed to capture and manage through-life product information. The internal database schema is based on ISO 10303, STEP AP242, and PLCS AP 239 and manages all aspects of product information such as requirements, analysis, design parts, engineering change, serialized parts, and product support in an extensible manner. Data is open and is extractable without information loss.

With ShareAspace, companies can securely collaborate and share data but still control and manage their intellectual property and respect export controls. In-house systems are not exposed outside of the firewall, making it easy to collaborate and provide the confidence needed for all partners to share based on trust.

ShareAspace Design to Manufacturing

Designing and manufacturing a product requires supply chain collaboration and information sharing between partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and internally across different departments and disciplines. Global value chains increasingly need to share intellectual property at an ever-faster pace. ShareAspace Design to Manufacturing is available both as an on-prem or cloud solution, allowing you to connect your existing data, prepare and share it with the companies you invite into your ‘space,’ and then keep track of changes and feedback.

ShareAspace Design to Manufacturing is the perfect tool for quality managers, strategic purchasing, and collaboration managers responsible for streamlining contract manufacturing processes and ensuring intellectual property protection.

ShareAspace Export Control

ShareAspace Export Control enables sharing information subject to export control regulations, such as ITAR, in global value chains. It encourages best practices in the management of data that needs to be controlled when exported and maintains the records required by the authorities.

Data covered by export control regulations will typically be under a license that defines who can see that data. Thus, additional controls must be put in place so that only those entitled to see the data have access. Limitations also must be applied to ensure that it can only be extracted or copied in conformance with the relevant license. It is typical to track who has accessed the ECR data. Fortunately, the core functions needed to satisfy these requirements are essentially like those used to protect Intellectual Property, and not all data is subject to export regulations.

ShareAspace Design to Support

Based on Eurostep’s experience working with Defense Ministries and the Defense Industry, the need for a collaboration solution to support both hand-over processes and sustainment activities has been identified.

ShareAspace Design to Support is configured to support an Integrator to provision product-related information to the Operator as well as for the Operator to collaborate with their Support supply chain.

The solution provides the means to upkeep the As-maintained information for individuals in a fleet. It also provides traceability links to As-designed information, explicit support for collaborative Change Management, and an auditable communication thread between all involved.

In combination with a secure and controlled sharing mechanism to ensure intellectual property protection, these features are key for collaboration between an Operator, the design authority, and the different actors in maintenance consortia involved in the sustainment of defense systems.
