Markus Zimmermann began his career as a design engineer at Rolls-Royce Solutions GmbH. Since 2016, he has led Windchill adoption across internal PLM projects, orchestrating global training and organizational change management initiatives. In his current role as project manager for Model-Based Definition (MBD), he works with the broader Rolls-Royce Group to implement the Digital Data Package. This initiative connects mechanics, E/E, software, production, and suppliers via PLM and ALM to strengthen the digital thread and lay the foundation for AI through integrated data. As Business Project Lead for Agile Markus drives continuous Windchill enhancements and agile delivery frameworks to maximize usability and cross-functional integration. Markus has a Dipl. Ing. (FH) in Mechanical Engineering from Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
