Aras, a leader in enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, and Aras partner Elysium, a global provider of data translation software, today announced the Elysium xPDM for Aras connector solution, an integration for data exchange between Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and the Aras Innovator PLM platform. Businesses are increasingly choosing to combine new platforms with existing systems to manage product information across the lifecycle and the extended enterprise. Design data from CAD must be connected with engineering business processes across product development, manufacturing, quality, suppliers and field service. Many manufacturers companies are selecting the best suited CAD, PDM and PLM platforms for each purpose and connecting them. “The new connector solution from Elysium fits perfectly with our PLM platform strategy to address the ‘no file’ world of CAD systems like CATIA V6 by providing global companies with a seamless way to integrate to the 3DEXPERIENCE environment,” said Doug Macdonald, Product Marketing Director

Mentor Graphics Corp., today ushered in a new era of emulation by announcing new applications for the Veloce® emulation platform. The new Veloce Apps—Veloce Deterministic ICE, Veloce DFT and Veloce FastPath—overcome critical system-level verification challenges in complex SoC and system designs. They run on an upgraded Veloce OS3 operating system that significantly accelerates design compile cycles, gate-level flows, and the time it takes to review results ("time to visibility"). The combination of Veloce Apps on Veloce OS3 puts more capabilities into the hands of more engineers more quickly than hardware-centric strategies. Each of the new Veloce Apps addresses a specific verification issue: Veloce Deterministic ICE overcomes unpredictability in ICE environments by adding 100 percent visibility and repeatability for debug, and provides access to other 'virtual-based' use models; Veloce DFT accelerates Design for Test (DFT) verification prior to tape-out to minimize the risk of catastrophic failure, and significantly reduces run times when verifying designs

The latest version of Delcam’s ArtCAM Pro artistic CADCAM software will be demonstrated on Booth #723 at the ISA Sign Expo to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from April 20th to 23rd.  The software features improvements in design and machining, including easier designing with vectors, more design options with real-time updating and faster machining simulations. Unlike most other CADCAM systems, ArtCAM Pro is aimed at skilled artisans rather than engineers and requires much less knowledge of engineering or computing.  It has been particularly successful in the signmaking, woodworking and engraving industries.  In these areas and in other artistic applications, ArtCAM Pro allows users to increase productivity, improve quality and deliver new designs more quickly, by combining their craft skills and creativity with the power and precision of computer-aided manufacturing. ArtCAM users that design with vectors will benefit from two new options in the latest release.
