Infolytica Corporation announces today the release of a new version of MagNet for SOLIDWORKS, the company’s electromagnetic field simulation add-in to the 3D CAD package. This update includes a brand new circuit editor, new libraries of steel and magnetic materials, support for SOLIDWORKS 2016 and other general improvements. MagNet for SOLIDWORKS is an embedded 3D electromagnetic field solver developed by Infolytica Corporation. The simulation and analysis of any electromagnetic device can be performed completely within the SOLIDWORKS environment using this add-in. Infolytica Corporation is a certified solution partner of DSS SOLIDWORKS. Efficient use of most electromagnetic devices require that they be influenced with a desired excitation. Most often the generation of this excitation requires the use of a circuit to control the specific characteristics, timing and overall profile. The new release of MagNet for SOLIDWORKS allows the user to add components and wire them together as desired to construct the circuit to drive

ESI Group, pioneer and world-leading solution provider in Virtual Prototyping for manufacturing industries, announces the latest version of its sheet metal forming simulation and die face design solution, PAM-STAMP 2015. Addressing the needs of OEMs and tier-suppliers in the automotive, aerospace and heavy industries, PAM-STAMP precisely predicts the outcome of complete sheet metal forming processes. For manufactures this means saved time and cost throughout the entire product development cycle - from conceptual design to try-out and production. For tooling suppliers, PAM-STAMP uniquely enables production die engineering by providing high quality, predictive simulation to support styling of outer panels and also the development of new lightweight structural parts. "Car manufacturers aim to shorten their development cycles, sometimes to under a year. As a result, it is essential to forming operation and tool design engineers to be assured of very high surface quality early in the tool development cycle," explains Harald Porzner, Director of Virtual Manufacturing Product Management

e-Xstream engineering, an MSC Software company, today announced the release of Digimat-RP/Moldex3D (an OEM version of Moldex3D embedded in Digimat-RP) that provides Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) engineers with injection molding simulation from within Digimat-RP. The solution provides structural CAE engineers with inaccurate estimate of fiber orientation for their Finite Element Analysis (FEA). The fiber orientation estimate within Digimat-RP is based on a fully integrated Moldex3D technology for meshing, flow simulation and fiber orientation computation. User guidance and productivity is assured thanks to minimal input, fully automatic meshing and solving, and precise focus on fiber orientation computation capabilities. Digimat-RP/Moldex3D benefits from the recognized integrative technology of Digimat-RP, allowing easy and accurate nonlinear analysis of reinforced plastic parts through advanced nonlinear micromechanical material models and an intuitive user interface. Digimat-RP/Moldex3D brings efficiency of predictive plastic part analysis to a whole new level. Multiple process/design iterations for part optimization (i.e. confident light weight design) can now be achieved

CD-adapco, the largest privately held CFD-focused provider of Computer Aided Engineering software, today announced the release of DARS v2.12, its simulation tool for the 0D and 1D management and analysis of chemical reactions. The new release focuses on boosting throughput when exploring new fuel blends under a wide range of operating conditions. The fuel libraries generated with DARS v2.12 can then be used to source combustion analysis carried out with STAR-CD® and STAR-CCM+®. “All of our products are developed to help engineers make the right decisions early in the design cycle. DARS v2.12 enables our customers to predict combustion, chemical processes and emission formation from the earliest stage of the design process, without necessarily having to resort to experimental testing,” said Jean-Claude Ercolanelli, Senior VP of Product Management, CD-adapco. "This release is devoted to enhancing the productivity of our customers, to accelerate their design decision process and to remove all obstacles

CBR Fashion Group, Germany-based supplier of fashionable womenswear, has successfully implemented YuniquePLM, the industry-leading PLM solution from Gerber Technology, to support fast fashion process including supplier collaboration.  CECIL and Street One—both CBR brands—have successfully handled the first collection with YuniquePLM, Gerber said in a statement. Nearly 90 internal users and around 60 agencies and direct suppliers were integral part when the PLM went live.  Starting from collection briefing, followed by image management, sample requests, tech pack, RFQ and final approval of styles—the entire fast fashion development process is supported by YuniquePLM, the statement said.  A lot of email communication has been eliminated by having all agencies and direct suppliers communicating via the supplier portal srmOn. Now sample comments, supplier quotes and sample shipping information are being feeded into the PLM system instead of being communicated by email.  CBR Fashion Group has chosen a best of breed approach from the beginning: YuniquePLM has been integrated
