Tekla India Successfully Concluded its ‘BIM Complete Constructable Solution Seminar 2014’

Tekla India culminated its roadshow series on complete constructable solutions this month. The objective of these seminars was to create awareness amongst the top corporates about latest technologies in modern construction practices in the country. The first two seminars were conducted at Hyderabad and Delhi in September 2014, followed by Kolkata and Ahmedabad in the month of December 2014.

Highlighting the benefits of the Tekla Structures BIM software that provides a single solution to the structural steel & concrete project needs, the Hyderabad and Delhi seminars were addressed by keynote speaker Andy Dickey, Business Manager, Tekla Corporation and Nirmalya Chatterjee, COO & Business Director, Tekla India. Mr Michael Hodgson, Technical Manager, Tekla Corporation was the keynote speaker in the Kolkata and Ahmedabad seminars.

Further on, dignitaries from esteem corporate houses showcased case studies, sharing experience on the usage of information-rich 3D BIM Technology in their construction projects. A few notable names who attended the event are Mr. Rajesh Shirakol, Senior Vice President, Sobha LTD; Mr Brij Nandan Yadava, Sr. Vice President, DLF Home Developers Ltd; Mr. Aniruddha Roy, Associate Vice President, Intec Infra-Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Sanjeev K Sharma, Founder & Principal, Melior Structural and Mr. Arun Verma, Deputy General Manager, Larsen & Toubro.  

These seminars provided an opportunity for the participants to learn how to manage concrete construction through a unique Model, Plan and Pour concept. It also provided an in-depth knowledge on how to utilize Tekla technology for steel detailing and precast projects. These sessions saw a huge gathering of over 300 participations from various structural engineering consultants, structural, precast and rebar fabricators, project owner, real estate developers, general and concrete contractors, erectors, EPC companies, quantity surveyors and estimators and infrastructure players across the industries.

Tekla Structures facilitates the highest level of constructability in a project by enabling the creation of the most accurate and data-rich structural models. It helps to enhance collaboration and project management while managing design to construction oriented engineering process. This makes it easier to work on third party applications at the same time of information-rich 3D BIM Technology helps to augment quality of the projects by reducing errors, improving reliability and integrating 3D modelling. It further enables to seamlessly generate construction deliverable documentation from the same 3D project model. Tekla’s technologies such as the open BIM tools are focused on optimizing collaboration and smooth information flow between the software solutions so that managing construction of all buildings becomes easier and smarter while improving quality. Tekla customers also can leverage the model data into downstream process.
