inno360, an open innovation collaborative platform and Watson partner, was recently displayed for IBM's World of Watson 2016 conference attendees Oct. 24-27, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Fashion designer Marchesa's data-driven "cognitive dress," a testament to the creative power of cognitive computing and the partnership between IBM Watson and inno360, was prominently displayed as part of the event. The dress was first unveiled May 2 at the 2016 Met Gala in New York City where it changed colors based on an analysis of fan sentiment in real time.
Ann Rubin, IBM vice president, branded content and global creative, stated on the IBM "Think" blog, "The dress' cognitive creation relies on a mix of Watson APIs, cognitive tools from IBM Research, solutions from Watson developer partner inno360 and the creative vision from the Marchesa design team."
Spencer Trask Collaborative Innovations was founded by Spencer Trask & Co., a privately held advanced technology development company, in partnership with several well-known business leaders, to bring open innovation ventures to market. "Under the combined leadership of inno360 Chairman Michael Turillo and Spencer Trask Collaborative Innovations Chairman Jeff Joerres, the company has become an important part of the IBM Watson ecosystem," said Kevin Kimberlin, chairman of Spencer Trask & Co. and Spencer Trask Collaborative Innovations executive committee member. "Thanks to Mike's hard work and dedication, we've now incorporated Watson Cognitive Intelligence into the inno360 product offering."
This past February Turillo took the stage at the IBM Annual Investor Briefing and was introduced by IBM Watson General Manager David Kenny who said: "Again, this is the first-inning. The Ecosystem partners grew 3X last year, and the first one I want to talk about is inno360. I'm very excited about this partner because they are bringing Watson to a lot of other big, important companies making important decisions with Artificial Intelligence."
