Delcam will preview a new rib-machining module for its PowerMILL CAM system on stand H57 in Hall 8 at the Euromold exhibition to be held in Frankfurt, Germany, from 25th to 28th November.  The new module, which will be available as part of the PowerMILL 2015 R2 release scheduled for January 2015, will speed up and simplify the machining into tooling of cavities to form ribs. Reinforcing ribs are required in many types of plastic mouldings, from electrical housings to containers to furniture.  They are typically much deeper than they are wide, which poses special challenges when machining the cavities needed to form them.  In many cases, these challenges prompt companies to use EDM to form the features rather than machining. The new PowerMILL module makes it much easier and safer to program the machining of cavities for narrow ribs, even when the cutter’s length is much greater than its diameter.  Using a dedicated

IronCAD Launches Multi-Physics Integration

IronCAD today announced a new seamlessly integrated Multi-Physics module. "Multi-Physics for IronCAD" (MPIC) is the newest generation of integrated CAD/FEA for general entry to advanced design simulations. MPIC focuses on ease of use and provides fully coupled Multiphysics with stress, thermal, and electrostatic analysis. Traditional FEA solutions are specialized for advanced users and are not particularly well suited for quick, in-process design analysis. With MPIC, users at any skill level will be able to use full FEA capabilities. Seamlessly integrated, users can simply add material, forces or constraints and the AutoSolve meshes and returns analysis results. Any modifications to the IRONCAD model enables an analysis re-solve in seconds As part of the IronCAD Gold Partner Program, a node-limited version of MPIC is included with full product capabilities with the standard IRONCAD solution. Beyond the included version, customers can purchase a full accuracy basic version, advance version, and add-on functionality. MPIC is available
