CONTACT Software launches the Unicode release of its Workspaces technology. Workspaces integrate heterogeneous CAx tools and help developers to work together more quickly, in a synchronized manner and organized in the way that they choose.
The Workspaces realease 3.3 offers product developers further improvements for CAD data management and collaborative working in teams. New functions make it easier to create, edit and transfer documents. Complex relationships are presented even more clearly and core application scenarios are even swifter.
Version 3.3 also relieves users of data management tasks: they now work in a universal master view, which they also use to control data transfer. It is also possible to assign metadata to the documents here that is compliant with the DM/PLM platform´s methodology. One key feature is Unicode support for important CAD integrations. Additional CAD interfaces will follow during the next quarter. The new Workspaces release underscores CONTACT's commitment to providing a universal, open solution for multi-CAD data management and collaborative engineering.
