The article highlights the key themes and insights from the CIMdata PLM Road Map and Eurostep conference held in Gothenburg, Sweden, this past October. The theme for the event was Value Drivers for Digitalization of the Product Lifecycle: Insights for the PLM Professional—Why the investment, what are the returns, and how are they achieved?
Presentations explored diverse approaches to digitalization, such as Siemens Energy’s Business Capability Models, Novo Nordisk’s use of AI and robotics to accelerate drug discovery, Ocado Group’s automation in grocery logistics, and Eaton Corporation’s AI-enabled product development. Additional discussions covered Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), challenges in PLM implementation, and innovative projects like Heliple-2 and the Arrowhead fPVN initiative.
