Detron ICT & Telecom Group and Cadac Group Holding have signed a purchase agreement stating that Cadac Group Holding will take over Detron's CAD activities as of January 1, 2014.
Detron CAD Solutions (previously ISSUE CAD Solutions) has been active in the building and construction, energy, and GIS sectors for twenty-five years. Ronald Knoop, a business unit director at Detron, brought about this transaction. 'Detron focuses on providing integrated ICT and telecommunication services. The CAD solutions and associated services are not part of Detron's core activities. In selling these activities to Cadac Group, we have found a party for our clients and staff which absolutely focuses on these activities and is also the largest organization in this sector in the Netherlands,' he says.
Richard Goossens, the Managing Director of the NedGraphics BV and Cadac Group AEC BV divisions in Vianen, says, 'This transaction will allow both divisions to increase their scale even more. Our leading position with government bodies and the ground works, roadworks, waterworks, and home and utilities construction sectors will be further expanded as a result of this growth in knowledge and experience. In the coming years, BIM in particular will require major investments on the part of our clients and of course from us as a supplier of BIM software solutions.'
