CD-adapcoTM just wrapped up its successful STAR Asian conferences. These regional conferences were held in Japan, China, Korea, Malaysia and India with each attracting a record breaking attendance, with over 1,200 engineers travelling from across the whole of Asia to participate in the events.
The STAR Chinese Conference was the newest event added to the regional conference series. CD-adapco opened their office in Shanghai just a few months prior to the event and was pleased they were able to so quickly support over 300 attendees. "This year's regional STAR conference success shows our ongoing dedication to the global simulation community," said Bill Clark, CD-adapco's Executive Vice President. "We had leading companies from all major industries speaking and in attendance. We are not only building a well-established international base of customers, but also connecting our globally dispersed customers through these events."
Commencing the 2014 CD-adapco conference season is the STAR Global Conference 2014 being held in Vienna, Austria. This event is the company's global conference attracting attendees from their worldwide community. This exclusive three day event (www.star-global-conference.com) will take place on March 17-19, 2014.
The theme of this year's event is "Simulating Systems" and registration includes the keynote presentation, over 120 industrial presentations, 36 industry specific sessions, technology demonstrations, and a free full day of training for every attendee. CD-adapco received well over 150 abstracts from all over the world. Two additional tracks have been added to the conference agenda in order to give attendees a truly all-encompassing selection of engineering simulation sessions. The finalized full packed agenda will be announced in early 2014.
In addition, the STAR Global Conference 2014 is the official launch event of STAR-CCM+® v9, which will be the latest version of CD-adapco's flagship engineering software tool.
