Originally scheduled for November 2014, the developers at PDF3D have accelerated production of their latest version update with even more features than initially planned - the most exciting of those being the advanced PRC features for CAD users and engineers, alongside some new geospatial features for those working in civil, surveying and mining. PRC is fast becoming the preferred and most feature-rich method used to embed 3D data and models into a PDF file and both PDF3D SDK and PDF3D-ReportGen, have been using the power of PRC technology since they were first released four years ago. It's only now however that this new format can take CAD models and compress them with PRC to a much higher standard than users have ever seen. "Back in 2010, our team brought PRC into our products to give PDF conversion superior compression, over the commonly used U3D method. That same team are still active today and have been continuously innovating with PRC

Why Driving in Circles is the Right and Best Future for PLM Derek Piette, Product Management Director, PTC The long and relatively straight road of product engineering in the automotive and transportation sectors has served us well over the past decades and produced several innovative and compelling products that enrich our lives on a daily basis. The mega-trends of safety, personalization, connectivity, and security are seeing that road heading towards a cliff when it comes to not only how we manage the product lifecycle but what we consider the product lifecycle itself and how we implement processes and tools to address it. Layer on this the exponential rise of complexity in our products, whether due to regional or market variation, cost, and regulatory constraints or the growing importance of non-physical “parts” in terms of software components or the data generated from these products and the environment they operate within. This presentation will explore

Integrated Requirements Management for Systems Engineering Marc Lind, SVP Global Marketing, Aras Vehicle complexity continues to increase with no end in sight forcing even greater emphasis on systems engineering capabilities at OEMs and tier suppliers worldwide. Tracing requirements across an integrated configuration that includes mechanical, electrical, wiring, software, firmware, and other system-related items to validate satisfaction and compliance has become impractical and unmanageable with stand-alone system silos. The inherent warranty risks associated are forcing automotive companies to fundamentally rethink their approach to requirements management for systems engineering. Find out how breaking down the walls and bringing together requirements management and configuration and change management processes across the enterprise enables the design and delivery of our next generation vehicles.
