Rasterex Software released version R16.0 of their popular desktop viewers for Windows. Version R16 continues to serve the hundreds of thousands of users throughout the world with updates, improvements and fixes. Although AutoCAD version 2015 has been supported already since it was launched by Autodesk, the R16 provides a full featured and complete support for AutoCAD 2015 based on Teigha 4.0.0 libraries. Another format which is important for their customers, is SolidWorks. The new version R16 has full support for SolidWorks 3D and 2D up to and including latest version 2014. As always, they have included a number of generic bug fixes and improvements into version 16. CCE announced the immediate availability of its updated Unified Interop (UIOp) libraries. The UIOp libraries were revised to support attributes that represent entity names in the native CAD system along with instance path. Persistent identifiers are now supported in Creo, NX and CATIA V6 translators. CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS persistent identifiers have been enhanced to provide unique identifiers for every instance in the assembly. "We've increased the speed of translation and support persistent id's across more CAD platforms," said Vinay Wagle, CCE's V.P. of Sales and Marketing. "Our newest UIOp release includes customer requested enhancements to process points, store component level attributes and more." UIOp's CATIA V5 translator now allows grouping of translated entities into respective geometric sets (PartBody, Geometric sets, Ordered Geometric sets) providing applications the ability to display the model tree as it appears in the native CAD system. In August 2014, PROSTEP released Version 1.7.1 offering several new and exciting features.  Creating complex PDF documents with 3D CAD data is now easier than ever. The Adobe® Acrobat® Pro plug-ins, A/P/C 1.7.1, provide users with more preference controls. Users can now set each window to appear at the same location on the screen each time the 3D PDF Animate editor is accessed. Among other improvements, A/P/C 1.7.1 offers additional security.  When a user establishes security in the PDF document, others are prevented from modifying the 3D PDF with A/P/C tools.
