This survey seeks input from PLM professionals regarding their data governance journey.
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, USA 16 December 2022—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm, announces the launch of a new survey on the data governance experiences of PLM Professionals.
Many companies are currently undergoing digital transformation programs, and CIMdata believes that product companies undergoing digital transformation need to have a solid PLM strategy and implementation. The core of that is data governance.
CIMdata defines data governance as “the organization and implementation of policies, procedures, structures, roles, and responsibilities that outline and enforce rules of engagement, decision rights, and accountability for the effective management of information assets.”
The survey seeks input from PLM practitioners with an understanding of their company’s data governance policies, practices, and plans.
We want to understand the following:
- Where a company is on its data governance journey.
- Whether or not an organization gets and understands data governance.
- If data governance is part of a digital transformation initiative.
- Who in organization's own data governance.
