Chrysler's PLM Journey: Supporting People, Process & Technology Vikal Sachdeva, Manager for Teamcenter Operations, Visualization, and Enterprise Data Exchange, Chrysler The decision to migrate CAD and PDM systems poses many complex challenges in areas of data volume, data integrity, impact to active programs, and cost. This presentation will focus on how Chrysler successfully overcame these challenges by establishing cross-functional teams, selecting the right partners, and creating custom developed application tools and processes to complete the migration project below cost and on time.

Vikal Sachdeva, Manager for Teamcenter Operations, Visualization, and Enterprise Data Exchange, Chrysler Vikal Sachdeva has been working in field of Information Technology at Chrysler for over 20 years. Currently he is the manager for Teamcenter Operations, Visualization, and Enterprise Data Exchange. Working with culturally and globally diverse teams he successfully led the CAD migration project at Chrysler. At present, he is focusing on initiatives in the areas of large assembly visualization and CAD data exchange with global partners and the extended enterprise.  

ZWCAD Design today announced the official release of ZWCAD+ 2015, with new features including a brand new UI, Unicode, Reference Manager, Super Hatch and many more.   Extended capability to do more ZWCAD+ 2015 strengthens its kernel in order to allow more users of different languages to use ZWCAD+. Bentley Systems, Incorporated, today announced that Service Electric Cable TV, Inc. (SECTV) – founder of cable television and a pioneer in the communications industry – has selected Bentley’s hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) network engineering solution for the effective and efficient design and management of its cable broadband network. Mentor Graphics Corporation today announced an integration with Lumerical’s INTERCONNECT to enable new silicon photonics design methodologies that leverage the Pyxis™ and Calibre® platforms.  With the INTERCONNECT integration, users are now able to perform optical circuit simulation directly from the Pyxis Schematic.  With this integration, users can capture a photonic design and testbench, set up optical simulation parameters for transient and frequency analysis, perform simulation, and view results interactively from the Pyxis Schematic simulation cockpit.  This not only delivers a tremendous boost in productivity, but it also leverages the existing integration to high-capacity EZwave™ waveform viewer.  While traditionally used as a viewer for mixed-signal waveforms in the electrical time domain, the EZwave viewer, which includes a built-in waveform-based calculator, an eye diagram tool, and TCL scripting, is also ideal for processing optical simulation results.  Complementing the Pyxis Schematic in the Pyxis custom IC design platform is Pyxis Implement, a tool for layout
