3D Systems, the leading additive manufacturing solutions provider, and the Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company (Dussur) have signed an agreement intended to expand the use of additive manufacturing (AM) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and surrounding geographies, including the Middle East and North Africa. The announcement was made during a ceremony in Riyadh on March 29, 2022. The purpose of the new Joint Venture is to enable the development of Saudi Arabia's domestic additive manufacturing production capabilities, consistent with the Kingdom’s ‘Vision 2030,’ which is focused on diversification of the economy and long-term sustainability. The Center for Innovation and Additive Manufacturing will initially focus on energy, with planned expansions into other industrial sectors as well as healthcare solutions. CADENAS expert actively contributes to the German BIM standardization roadmap as co-author CADENAS with its expertise actively contributed as co-author to the German standardization roadmap BIM, which was published at the end of 2021. The strategic plan was developed on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) by about 70 experts from different industries. Capgemini announced a multi-year-long engagement with Wharton’s Venture Lab to identify and mitigate energy transition and sustainability challenges as part of the Snider Consulting Center. This initiative brings together undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Pennsylvania with experts from Capgemini’s Energy and Utilities unit.
