The Altair Partner Alliance (APA) today announced that the noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) analysis tool AlphaCell, from MATELYS, is now available for download by enabled HyperWorks users. AlphaCell complements the APA's current NVH offering by helping users simulate the vibro-acoustic response of multi-layer trims under various excitations. "MATELYS is looking forward to the opportunity that this new partnership with Altair offers," said Francois-Xavier Becot, Co-Manager at MATELYS. "AlphaCell expands the already comprehensive NVH library available through the Altair Partner Alliance to include simulation capabilities for porous materials, as well as many other materials, and analysis of vibro-acoustic excitation resulting from numerous sources. These new abilities will open doors for the two companies to work together in creating more complete NVH solutions for their joint customers." AlphaCell is a complete and accurate transfer matrix method TMM/FTMM solution served by an intuitive graphical interface, with the ability to simulate vibro-acoustic responses resulting from

Galorath, Inc. is excited to announce that it has reached an agreement with Dassault Systemes, to integrate SEER for Manufacturing with CATIA. For many companies, cost estimating is a very fragmented activity and the inclusion of SEER's Cost Estimator in CATIA will allow manufacturers to initially model and test composite manufacturing processes and tradeoffs during the earliest and most preliminary stages of design. Galorath's SEER software has been assisting large scale project estimation and planning for 25 years. A key benefit of SEER is that it is based on parametric modeling and incorporates industry data and best practices. Using analysis and simulation, SEER helps companies estimate and control project costs, risks, quality and duration.  "We know that many of our SEER for Manufacturing users, particularly in aerospace, use both CATIA and SEER," said Dan Galorath, CEO of Galorath Inc. "With the creation of SEER's Cost Estimator in CATIA, designers will be able
