Aras Invests in XPLM (Highlight)

 PDF CIMdata Highlight Aras, a mindshare leader in the enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) software market, recently announced that they had acquired a controlling interest in XPLM, a Dresden, Germany based provider of PLM integration connectors and related services. XPLM is well-known to CIMdata and is considered to be a very capable supplier delivering integration solutions to many of the leading companies within the PLM marketplace and other enterprise solution markets. XPLM provides a broad and capable suite of integrations that are deployed in PLM implementations including MCAD, ECAD, CAE, MBSE, ALM, PDM, ERP, quality assurance, and other systems to manage core digital thread data. XPLM has connectors for the front-end of the lifecycle including requirements management and CRM. The deal size was not disclosed. A team of undergraduate students – Ashley Ho and Julia Pepper from New York University, Kaiji Uno from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Polina Yakubova from Baruch College – has won the annual U.S. Accenture Innovation Challenge. This year’s nonprofit partner is the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), providing opportunities and support to people with physical challenges so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics.   Student teams developed proposals to help CAF scale its High School Adaptive Sports Program to introduce more middle and high school students with physical disabilities to the value of physical activity and being part of their school track and field teams. Infor, the industry cloud company, announces that Åbro Bryggeri, Sweden's oldest family-owned brewery, has chosen Infor CloudSuite Food & Beverage to help achieve its ambitious growth goals after a procurement process in which three suppliers participated. This is part of Åbro Bryggeri'stransformation to a modern business system.  “We have developed our ERP system in-house for many years, and saw that the competence to maintain the solution risked disappearing and that operating costs would increase,” says Björn Ainemo, CFO at Åbro Brewery. “So we started looking for a new suitable standard solution on the market that we could grow with, and Infor stood out because the solution was configured for our industry and suited many of the tasks we wanted to solve.
