Rasterex Software released version R16.0 of their popular desktop viewers for Windows. CCE announced the immediate availability of its updated Unified Interop (UIOp) libraries. The UIOp libraries were revised to support attributes that represent entity names in the native CAD system along with instance path. Persistent identifiers are now supported in Creo, NX and CATIA V6 translators. CATIA V5 and SOLIDWORKS persistent identifiers have been enhanced to provide unique identifiers for every instance in the assembly. "We've increased the speed of translation and support persistent id's across more CAD platforms," said Vinay Wagle, CCE's V.P. of Sales and Marketing. "Our newest UIOp release includes customer requested enhancements to process points, store component level attributes and more." UIOp's CATIA V5 translator now allows grouping of translated entities into respective geometric sets (PartBody, Geometric sets, Ordered Geometric sets) providing applications the ability to display the model tree as it appears in the native CAD system.
