CIMdata’s Simulation-Driven Systems Development Workshop and NAFEMS’ Engineering Analysis & Simulation in the Automotive Industry Event will take place on April 27 & 28.
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, 21 January 2016—CIMdata, Inc., the leading global PLM strategic management consulting and research firm announces that CIMdata’s Simulation-Driven Systems Development Knowledge Council and NAFEMS will come together to present two unique events that will be of interest to the simulation and systems engineering communities. The events will take place in Troy, Michigan on April 27 & 28.
On April 27, CIMdata will present a workshop that will explore the theme, “Driving Industry to Model-Based Systems Engineering.” The workshop will consider the cross-industry and cross-discipline focus on the ever-expanding intersection of emerging model-based systems development methods and technologies with functional systems modeling and simulation tools and the best practices required to enable effective simulation-driven systems development.
“CIMdata recently announced the formation of a Simulation-Driven Systems Development (SDSD) counsulting practice and Knowledge Council to better focus on the opportunities and challenges inherent in attaining SDSD over the coming decade. The inaugural SDSD Knowledge Council Workshop, on April 27, represents the formal kick off for this new focus and we welcome the participation of engineers from all disciplines who have a strong passion for advancing the adoption of Systems Modeling and Simulation in their organizations,” stated Mr. Don Tolle, Director of CIMdata’s imulation-Driven Systems Development Practice and Knowledge Council. “CIMdata strongly believes that the engineering community is now on the cusp of some truly transformational processes and related technology in the areas of behavior modeling and simulation of complex systems,” added Mr. Tolle.
The second day will feature NAFEMS’ “Engineering Analysis & Simulation in the Automotive Industry: Emerging Standards & Practices” event, which will offer a full day of carefully selected presentations by speakers from the automotive industry. Attendees from the major automotive manufacturers and suppliers will gather at this annual event, in a pre-competitive manner, to exchange ideas, identify best practices, and drive the near-future direction of technology.
