Flexxbotics, delivering workcell digitalization for robot-driven manufacturing, announced the launch of Intelligent Recovery™, a new first-of-its-kind, patent-pending breakthrough that enables collaborative robots (cobots) to autonomously restart and proceed from work-stop conditions without human intervention. Intelligent Recovery is now included in the Latest Release of the Flexxbotics solution and is immediately available to customers. Intelligent Recovery with Flexxbotics eliminates inadvertent, non-safety related cobot stops to significantly reduce unplanned downtime and increase unattended production. During operations, collaborative robots periodically encounter circumstances which cause the cobot to stop requiring a person to reset and restart the robot. These occurrences, such as part-workholding contact and other non-safety related conditions, lead to unplanned work stoppages and can cause substantial reductions in utilization and production output, especially when personnel are not around. Now, Flexxbotics Intelligent Recovery TM option enables the robot to recognize its context and automatically recover so manufacturing continues without downtime or human intervention. “We believe that in order to achieve true ‘lights-out’ autonomy, the

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division and Boeing announce the formation of the Rotor Dynamics Consortium (RDC) in collaboration with some of the biggest names in the aircraft and aerospace engine industries. The RDC will define, drive, and standardise rotordynamics modelling and simulation requirements, with the goal of enabling airframers and aerospace engine manufacturers to safely overcome the engineering challenges of new more sustainable and efficient propulsion systems. The consortium will build on finite element methods that are deeply embedded throughout design, validation and safety certification workflows to apply next-generation multiphysics simulations. The RDC will meet to discuss and formulate strategies on how best to apply MSC Nastran, which is considered the most accurate digital alternative to expensive physical testing, to overcome the unique challenges of engine rotordynamics and their downstream effects on airframe safety under different flight conditions.  As rotordynamics continues to evolve, achieving improved fuel efficiencies using the open rotor concept presents

Keysight Technologies, Inc. announces that Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) has selected the Keysight Signaling Field-To-Lab (S-FTL) solution to streamline and automate its 5G field-to-lab workflow in its Bengaluru lab. The comprehensive, end-to-end 5G wireless protocol signaling solution improves end-user quality of experience (QoE) by accelerating the replication, analysis, and resolution of 5G field issues in a test lab environment.  As 5G continues to be deployed, the focus has shifted to ensuring users receive the highest QoE by rapidly resolving issues reported from the field. A significant challenge is replicating complicated field scenarios in a lab environment to identify possible solutions. This involves the complex, time-consuming process of analyzing field logs, which are often missing data or contain errors, in order to replicate the issues. To solve this challenge, mobile operators, device makers, and chip manufacturers need an efficient and reliable test automation solution that can quickly translate device field logs into precisely replicated

In the presence of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, Siemens held the groundbreaking ceremony in Berlin for one of Europe’s largest urban development projects. Around 35,000 people will live and work at Siemensstadt Square, which will have an area of roughly 188 acres and floorspace of more than a million square meters. The project is a blueprint for the effective design of urban brownfield development projects and industrial transformation worldwide. Digital technologies from the entire Siemens Xcelerator platform – from an end-to-end digital twin to artificial intelligence (AI) – will make the district livable and fit for the future.  Together with numerous project partners, Siemens will create a “district of the future” at the more than 100-year-old industrial site in Berlin’s Spandau area; the space will bring together manufacturing, research, learning and living. Living space for up to 7,000 people will cover a total area
