He is active in large-scale engineering projects in transportation, defense, energy, industrial, and heavy equipment sectors. Matthew recently started Tera Development Solutions to work collaboratively with companies to solve New Product Development challenges utilizing Design Thinking, Advanced Modeling & Simulation, and Accelerated Product Development Methods. He is also the Technical Director at the Maverick Innovation Lab, lectures at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and blogs regularly on ENGINEERING.com.

ASCON Group today reported its financial results for fiscal 2013, and released a product roadmap for 2014. 2014 is a special year for ASCON as it celebrates its 25th anniversary, and do so with outstanding financial results. In 2013, the company’s revenues reached 983 million rubles (approximately US$28 million). The company attained revenues from three sources: software developed in-house, IT-services for complex automation projects, and partner-distributed software. In 2013, the company continued developing products for the two vertical, markets most traditional for ASCON, mechanical and instrument engineering. These two represented 72% of total revenues. Visitors to WorkPLAN’s booth at the Industrie Paris 2014 exhibition were particularly interested in the new feature of remote access to the database from mobile devices. Version 5 of WorkPLAN, from Vero Software, features the ability for Android tablet and smartphone users to log on to the system to access quotes, projects, invoices, client information and a variety of files. Mints using Delcam’s ArtCAM CADCAM software won the great majority of the awards presented at Krause Publication’s COTY (Coin Of The Year) Awards sponsored by World Coin News and presented at the World Money Fair held in Berlin during February.
