Dassault Systèmes announces the extension of the expiration date of the tender offer by its wholly owned indirect subsidiary, 3DS Acquisition Corp., to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Accelrys, Inc. (Accelrys) common stock at an offer price of $12.50 per share in cash, without interest and subject to any required withholding of taxes. Dassault Systèmes and Accelrys have agreed that the expiration date will be extended until 12:00 midnight, New York City time, at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, unless otherwise extended or terminated. Except for the extension of the tender offer, all other terms and conditions of the tender offer remain unchanged. Dr. Jan M. Leuridan, CEO, LMS, A Siemens Business Dr. Jan Leuridan joined LMS International in 1984 as Research and Development Manager and was subsequently appointed to the position of Chief Technical Officer for the company. Since 1987, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors of LMS. Following the acquisition of LMS by Siemens in 2013, Dr. Leuridan became Senior Vice President, Simulation & Test segment, Siemens PLM Software. Dr. Leuridan received an engineering degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Leuven in 1980. He later received a M.Sc. (1981) and Ph.D. (1984) from the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering of the University of Cincinnati.

Integware today announced that they have released a case study focused on the effect of global PLM implementation on one of their clients. The case study and its accompanying infographic break down the effectiveness that PLM had after it was implemented. According to the case study, one client of Integware, a large medical device manufacturer, was able to achieve several key business metrics that contribute to increased efficiency after implementing a PLM system. “Our client saw an immediate improvement in efficiency after implementing a basic PLM system,” said a spokesman from Integware. “The results are borne out in our infographic.
