
Rohit Tangri is the global lead for the Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development function for Lifecycle Collaboration Software at Siemens PLM Software, where he is responsible the product strategy and direction for the Teamcenter brand within the Siemens PLM product portfolio.
Prior to his current position, Rohit served as Executive Director in the Siemens PLM Products Strategic Planning group and was responsible for portfolio planning, acquisition strategy/M&A analysis, and partner NPI identification.
Prior to joining Siemens PLM, Rohit spent eight years at MatrixOne Inc., as a Director in Product Management and Marketing roles. At MatrixOne he was responsible for several PLM products, industry solutions, and key customer deployments including NPI of Sourcing and Product Cost solutions. He also spent eight years in the automotive industry at TRW safety systems, where he was responsible for engineering analysis/CAE & CAD for product development on a global basis and support on product innovation at the R&D centers in Space Systems and Automotive. Rohit received the TRW Chairman’s Award for Innovation in 1997 for developing and being the first to market with a Seat Integrated Restraint (SIR) system that was installed in 2 million vehicles for an Automotive OEM vehicle platform.
Earlier in his career, Rohit was a software developer and consultant for Mechanical Dynamics Inc., an emerging CAE company focused on developing virtual prototyping and mechanical simulation software. There, he received the company President’s Award for performance in 1992 and 1993.
Rohit graduated with an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
