Do any of the following statements sound a little too familiar?
  • Our corporate IP is being lost through industrial espionage.
  • Counterfeit parts can enter the supply chain introducing safety risks.
  • The AM file owner may be an unwitting accomplice to theft because of a lack of awareness that it’s happening.
  • Accidental changes may occur throughout the Digital Thread.
  • AM file revisions may be lost causing wasted time, parts, and rework.

The highest number of incidents of cyberattacks occur in the manufacturing industry not finance or retail as many people expect. Attacks like malware, trojans, viruses, worms or bots, which once inside a network, communicate back to a command and control (C&C) machine for further instructions, are often introduced through the ubiquitous email, the most common method of sharing data.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) or 3D Printing is all digital. An AM file contains topology, process definition, and a material recipe. This all-digital information-rich file can be an easy target for industrial espionage from hostile nations, competitive companies, or even a rogue employee inside your own company. An AM file may be immediately replicated and printed infinite times unless proper security measures are put in place.

In this webinar CIMdata will expose the potential risks and proposes pragmatic steps to mitigate, and potentially prevent, threats of cyberattacks.

What will I learn by attending this webinar?
  • You will gain a better understanding of AM Digital Thread security risks.
