Doug Cheney, CAD Validation Specialist, International TechneGroup (ITI)
As a CAD Validation Specialist at International TechneGroup (ITI), Doug Cheney helps automotive, aerospace, and defense companies implement CAD validation to improve their Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) processes. Doug represents ITI in MBE initiatives sponsored by international consortia (ISO, PDES, ProSTEP, LOTAR, JT Open, 3D PDF Consortium) and government organizations (DoD, NIST, ARL, AFRL). Doug earned BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University after attending the California Institute of Technology. Doug’s master’s thesis focused on multi-CAD application development. At Ford Powertrain Doug initiated CAD model quality research and led the PDES, Inc. STEP translator testing forum. Doug joined ITI in 1996 to lead development of their CAD validation technology known as CADIQ.
