Edgecam Solid Machinist has reinforced its CAM-partner credentials by gaining 2015 certification from Autodesk Inventor – forming a relationship that gives the best in class CAD and CAM solution. Using the Edgecam add-in for Autodesk Inventor, the CAD model is sent to Edgecam Solid Machinist for feature finding and CAM application processes.  As Edgecam loads the Inventor model directly, without using a translator, there is no data loss. Any changes to the design model in Inventor are automatically flagged when loading an Edgecam part file, giving the option to accept or reject them. Accepting changes to the design model automatically regenerates features such as holes and pockets that were on the original model. Edgecam finds machineable features, such as pockets, bosses and holes in the Autodesk Inventor part, with a single click, extracting information relating to them. In the first three months of 2014, CENIT Group achieved a significantly higher EBIT and a decline in sales compared to the same period last year. The PLM segment achieved a slight increase in sales, while the EIM segment has experienced a temporary drop in sales by around 25% compared to the previous year due to ongoing restructuring measures.   CENIT AG is pleased to note the continuous rise in sales of proprietary software, which increased by around 5%. During the first 3 months, CENIT Group generated sales revenues of EUR k 29,793 (prior year: EUR k 31,816/-6.4%). Sales revenues in CENIT’s Consulting and Services segment declined by -7.3% to EUR k 13,799 (prior year: EUR k 14,884). Sales of third-party software also declined by -8.4% to EUR k 12,479 (prior year: EUR k 13,625). Sales proceeds from CENIT’s proprietary software grew from EUR k 3,224 to EUR k 3,392 (5.2%),

Cimatron Limited today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2014.   Highlights of Cimatron’s results for the first quarter of 2014 include the following: 40% year-over-year increase in non-GAAP operating profit, to a Q1 record of $1.4 million Record Q1 revenues of $11 million, an 8% year-over-year increase (6.3% on constant currency basis) 16th consecutive quarter with year-over-year revenue growth on a constant currency basi $3.2 million cash flow from operating activities; End of quarter net cash balance of $16.1 million or $1.50 per share Commenting on the results, Danny Haran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cimatron, noted, “We are very pleased to report Q1 2014 as a record first quarter. Creaform announced that it has moved its Montréal office. Creaform’s new Montréal facilities, now located in Laval, will be mainly dedicated to the company’s engineering and metrology services as well as sales of its 3D optical technologies. The office will be inaugurated on May 15, 2014 in the presence of Mr. David De Cotis, Vice-President of the City of Laval’s Executive Committee. “Our teams will benefit from improved CAD product development facilities, with larger areas for engineering activities and a state-of-the-art metrology laboratory.
