Dan Murray, CEO and Founder, Vertex Software
Dan Murray is a serial technology entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Vertex Software. In the 1990s, Dan was a manufacturing visualization pioneer as the lead architect for EAI’s VisMockup, which is now the world’s most popular desktop solution for manufacturing visualization. He also led the development of the JT file format, the universal standard for 3D data exchange in manufacturing.
More recently, Dan was a pioneer in cloud computing and created one of the world’s first scalable cloud-based enterprise financial reporting solutions. His successful ventures include growing two prior software companies to $100M+ revenue and executing successful IPOs in the manufacturing and finance industries.
Dan is also an active angel investor with an investment focus in manufacturing innovation. He recently joined mHUB’s Chicago Product Impact Fund I, which invests in emerging technologies that fuel the Midwest’s leadership in Industry 4.0 and manufacturing innovation.
