Kenneth (Kenny) Swope leads Boeing’s Enterprise Interoperability Standards & Supply Chain Collaboration team within Engineering Test & Technology and promotes the utilization of engineering data standards throughout Boeing and to the extended supply chain. With over 28 years at Boeing, Kenny has experience in manufacturing research, machine tool control systems, industrial engineering, engineering change management, program management, and business architecture. In addition, Kenny is Chair of ISO/TC 184/SC 4 - Industrial data where over 700 international standards critical to product data definition, interoperability and smart manufacturing are defined. Kenny is recognized as an expert in multiple ISO/IEC activities related to Smart Manufacturing, Digital Twin, and Machine Readable Standards.
Kenny holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Washington State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics from the University of Central Missouri. Outside Boeing, Kenny is active in his local 4-H organization through Washington State University as a technology leader and mentor to teams in FIRST Robotics and FIRST Lego League.
