Deutsche Telekom’s T-Systems business customer arm has launched the Telekom Data Intelligent Hub (Telekom DIH), a platform for secure data sharing that transmits data directly and exclusively between companies and their partners with end-to-end encryption and without storing data externally or centrally. Telekom DIH enables companies to retain complete control over their data and provides access to tools for processing and analyzing data, including Internet of Things (IoT) services, AI and machine-learning applications. The Telekom DIH will be rolled out to customers during the second half of 2018, said Telekom.
T-Systems and steel manufacturer Salzgitter will also present applications for the Telekom DIH during the Hannover Trade Fair between 23 April and 27 April. Salzgitter will demonstrate how it uses the Telekom DIH interfaces to share data on its ordering processes with raw material suppliers in an automated system, boosting processing speeds and reducing coordination efforts as a result.
