With 16 speakers on a fully-packed agenda, the first ESTECO UM18 held in India demonstrated to be one of the leading forums for sharing engineering knowledge and optimization experiences. During the conference, attendees had the chance to network with engineering professionals and learn about the latest product updates and future development drivers.
In his welcome address, Enrico Nobile, Scientific Advisor at ESTECO gave an exhaustive glimpse into the future direction taken by the independent software provider. Autonomous algorithms, redefined workflow management, enhanced user experience and mobile technologies are the four drivers to lead ESTECO technologies in the years to come.
‘ESTECO is nowadays a global company and the expansion of our User Meeting to India is a confirmation of our global commitment”, saidCarlo Poloni, ESTECO President. “We have been present with a regional office in India for four years now and we have been working with some of the major OEMs in India. We are noticing that more and more users of our technology are coming from this territory and it was only a natural step for us to organize a regional meeting close to the people we work with,” Poloni said.
The agenda of the meeting was packed with success stories and interesting studies presented by some of the world’s leading brands, who highlighted the benefits of the ESTECO Technologies for tackling optimization challenges.
Sarma Akella, Associate Chief Engineer at the leading vehicle manufacturer in India, Mahindra & Mahindra, highlighted the benefit of optimization and informed decision making for boosting product development.
Osamu Ito, Assistant Chief Engineer at Honda presented a research on effective construction of aluminum car hoods for pedestrian protection.
Anand S. Patil, Associate Vice President at TAFE Motors & Tractors Limited talked about the benefits of using modeFRONTIER for exhaust muffler design.
On behalf of Whirlpool India, Chetan Borole, Senior CAE Engineer, presented an energy trade-off study for dishwashers based on DOE and RSM.
The latest modeFRONTIER and VOLTA developments were presented by Nachiket Kasarekar, Business Development Manager at ESTECO, who also held a closing address, inviting the participants to join the North American edition of the ESTECO Users’ Meeting in 2019, and the ESTECO International Users’ Meeting in Trieste, Italy in 2020.
