For companies, the benefit they achieve with an IoT solution is what counts. Therefore it is so important, emphasizes Dr. Nicole Drechsler of CONTACT Software, not only to consider the technical design of a connected smart product, but also the associated work processes when designing applications.
"A good user experience is essential in making IoT solutions a success for customers," says Drechsler. "That's why we also pay attention to aspects such as a consistent platform and service design during the development phase.” For this reason, the computer scientist works closely with interaction designer Yang Zhong from CONTACT's UX team.
At building IoT 2019, both experts will give an insight into their approach and present innovative concepts for the IoT customer journey. Their presentation illustrates where the challenges lie and how CONTACT's software development progresses from the technical design of an IoT application to a good UX.
building IoT addresses experts who are involved in the technical implementation of IoT products and projects in their companies - independent of a specific industry. The conference, organized by the trade media Heise Developer, iX and the publisher d.punkt, will take place in Cologne, Germany at the beginning of April 2019.
